Milestone Tracking Service
The Milestone Tracking Service (MTS) is a new system that will enable your company to assess how each site is performing against milestone targets on a regular basis.
The Discount Scheme currently reports performance on an annual basis. By joining the MTS, you can receive feedback more frequently. This will enable you to closely monitor progress and make sure there are no surprises at the Year-End.
The performance of each site during the milestone year is critical. If you are falling behind the target you must take action before it is too late. The MTS performance reports will provide your company with the information you need to assess the best way forward.
Some specific benefits of MTS reports are:
• Regular updates on progress towards CCA targets
• Assess if urgent action is required
• On-going knowledge of your carbon trading position
• Consolidated data reports for several sites in the same company
• Regular news updates
An important option for multi-site companies is that reports can be sent to each site and to a central contact. This enables each site to be aware of their current position and for a central co-ordinator to evaluate the position of the whole company.

You can select one of 3 options for the frequency of MTS reports:
The MTS performance report will contain an analysis of the energy and production data submitted for the previous reporting period and cumulatively for the milestone year. We will also include the latest news about important CCL issues. |

Reports will be a more detailed version of the Annual Report, including:
• Comparison of performance against your milestone target
• Carbon trading forecast
• Performance of your site in each currency and against each currency target.

*The size classification system used to calculate your scheme administration fees will be used for the MTS. This is based on the amount of primary energy used at a site. Typically, small sites have an annual energy bill less than about £50,000 and large sites have an annual energy bill over about £500,000. Details of size classifications are given in Information Sheet 10 (see your Discount Scheme Information pack or www.cclevy.com).
