WHAT WILL IT COST TO JOIN THE MASTER BAKERS SCHEME?
The administration costs of setting up and operating the Master Bakers CCLA will be recovered by fees that apply on a "per site" basis. Costs comprise two elements: a joining fee and an annual subscription. The joining fee will be charged to cover the set up costs of each site. This must be paid after the return of your application form. The annual fee will be charged each time that annual data collection takes place. The fee structure splits sites into size bands. Different fees apply for non-members of NAMB/SAMB. Details of the charging structures are given in Information Sheet 10. It should be noted that the CCLA is still subject to EU State Aids approval. DEFRA have clearly stated that such approval is expected from the EC, but that formal approval will not be until late 2000 or early 2001. DEFRA are insisting that the process of setting up CCLAs is completed by October 2000 if sites are to get their Climate Change Levy discount from April 2001. The joining fee described above is to pay for the administrative activities that will take place before the end of 2000 and is non-refundable.
